Bookkeeper & Administrative Assistant (Jerusalem)

Description:
Answers Corporation, a Jerusalem-based, US public company, seeks a junior bookkeeper for its Jerusalem office in the Malcha Technology Park. The position is a full-time position and will include bookkeeping as well as administrative tasks for other departments.

Responsibilities:

  • Bookkeeping (US and Israel)
  • Accounts payable
  • Collections
  • Account Analyses
  • Administrative tasks including travel arrangements, ordering office supplies, vacation tracking, filing, etc.

Requirements:
  • Highly motivated and ability to learn quickly
  • Bookkeeping Type 2 at least

Internship

The Career Israel program (www.careerisrael.com) is seeking a native English speaker as an intern. Career Israel is a five month internship program in Israel for college graduates, sponsored by MASA, and the Israel Experience, an affiliate of the Jewish Agency. Intern would be responsible for handling registration to the program, which includes conducting phone interviews with potential candidates, accepting candidates, all correspondence regarding general inquires and questions about the program, updating our internal database with payment information and documentation, and all other aspects related to registration.

Interns can also feel free to explore their other interests, such as attend the program's educational programming, meet the group, attend marketing functions or utilize whatever other skills and interests they may have. Intern can work half time or full time. One does not need Hebrew for this position. The internship is unpaid and can be an excellent opportunity for a new oleh to gain experience in the field of Jewish communal work and Israel programs.

The office is located at the Rabin Youth Hostel in Jerusalem. Warm and friendly environment. The internship can be suitable to somebody who is in ulpan or working part time or available full time. Helpdesk/Systems Support Level 1

Provide first-level phone and on-site desktop and LAN support in a Windows domain, Active Directory, Citrix/thin client, and Windows XP environment. The position will troubleshoot and resolve all level one help desk issues and requests and have an escalation path to second level. The position requires a hands-on approach to solving issues.

Requirements:

  • At least 2 years of helpdesk/systems support experience in a dynamic, large scale windows-based environment
  • Must have excellent working knowledge of Windows NT/2000/2003 Server and XP Professional, Desktop and Laptop computer hardware, preferably HP/Compaq and IBM, and support of related hardware devices such as Tape Drives, Scanners, Printers
  • Experience with TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS services
