Oracle DBA

Plimus is seeking a strong Oracle DBA to fortify its IT team.

The perfect candidate has managed large Oracle instances over a long period of time, successfully resolving complex issues and performing major upgrades.

The candidate would participate in managing the globally-distributed Plimus data-centers - managing the various Oracle instances, operating systems, services and web environments.

Requirements
• At least 4 years of heavy duty Oracle database administration (10g)
• Rich experience in various Oracle tasks such as Partitioning, Performance tuning, Resource management, Backups, Replication, etc.
• Managing multiple geographic sites - an advantage
• Ability to manage a Linux based environment
• Service oriented (assisting Plimus employees/customers)
• Advantage: Java programming
• Advantage: MS Windows Administration
• Willingness and ability to work under pressure and be on-call when needed
